A Conference of Dreams for the Carrossier ProColor Network

The Carrossier ProColor network, a member of CSN Collision Centres, the largest network of collision repair facilities in Canada, is pleased to announce a record attendance at its Annual Conference held from May 4-6, during which a new record of $75,000 in donations was raised for the Children’s Wish Foundation.

The event, which welcomed more than 540 people, highlighted the theme The Wind in our Sails. By drawing a parallel between maritime navigation and business management, this year’s edition of the conference underlined the importance of maintaining one’s vessel (company) in optimal condition, keeping up with changing winds (industry trends) and being surrounded by a competent and loyal crew (staff).

“We have the wind in our sails, but we must never forget that the wind can change strength or direction at any time,” said Sylvain Dufault, General Manager of Carrossier ProColor, before the delegates. “We have done a lot of work over the past few years to remain a leader in the collision repair industry. In order to maintain this position, against the winds and tides we must stay the course and adjust our sails accordingly,” he added.

The conference, animated by Manuel Hurtubise, began Thursday evening with an exhibition period where collision centres could exchange with the network’s vendor partners. The evening ended with a bonfire by the St. Lawrence River to the rythym of melodies performed by Serge Lachapelle.

Friday consisted of a series of conferences. Guest speakers included AIA’s Director of Collision Programs, Brigitte Pesant, who presented the Canadian Collision Industry Accreditation Program, and Caroline Lacasse, Training Coordinator at CSMO-Auto and Chair of the I-CAR Quebec Committee, who demonstrated the importance of the employee experience and the manager’s role. This day of conferences concluded with a recognition ceremony of collision centres that celebrated their 5, 10 and 15 year
anniversary as a member of the Carrossier ProColor network.

To end the conference in style, a banquet was held on Friday evening, during which the Insurer’s Choice Awards Ceremony was presented to honour the workshops that distinguished themselves most during the last year, followed by the traditional fundraiser for the Children’s Wish Foundation where some 440 collision centres, insurance partners and vendors took part in a heartfelt effort to help seriously ill children realize their most cherished dream.

“Every year, we wonder if it will be possible to exceed the new record of donations collected the year before,” says Sylvain Dufault. “But until now, we have always managed to shatter it thanks to the great generosity of our precious contributors. This year, seven children will have the opportunity to see their dream come true” he concludes.
