The Carrossier ProColor network, a member of CSN Collision Centres, the largest network of collision repair facilities in Canada, celebrated its annual conference at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau on April 26 and 27 under the theme “Dressed for Success”.
As the term implies, the banner decided to emphasize the importance of displaying a prestigious brand image and offering a service worthy of a collision repair industry leader. Comparing the “Dressed for Success” theme with the management of a business, the activities on the agenda emphasized the importance of always putting your best self forward, not only in terms of appearances but at all levels. For a collision repair centre, this implies ongoing training, certifications, and management of the customer and employee experience.
“In addition to the pleasure of meeting delegates and having them with us, their presence was an encouragement and a real reward. Nearly 500 of them attended this event, which is so close to our hearts, and their enthusiasm has made this conference a success that has exceeded our expectations” says Sylvain Dufault, General Manager of the Carrossier ProColor network.
The conference, which was hosted by Manuel Hurtubise, began on April 26 with a trade show where participants were invited to visit the network’s vendor partners’ kiosks and exchange with industry peers. The evening ended to the rhythm of the DJ at the Lac-Leamy Casino’s Aléa nightclub, exclusively reserved for conference delegates.
Friday, April 27, was dedicated to conference speakers and presentations. The Carrossier ProColor management team presented updates on the organization, its main orientations, and its marketing strategy. Two speakers were also invited: Raymond Perron, Talent Development Manager at Uni-Select, who presented the different communication styles and Carol Allain, author, speaker and international instructor, who elaborated with great humour on The Shock of the Generations. Two conferences that proved to be crowd favourites which provided delegates with tools to better understand their customers and employees in order to improve communication with them. The meeting portion of the conference ended with the recognition of collision centres that celebrated their 5, 10 and 15-year anniversary as a member of the Carrossier ProColor network.
For the gala on Friday evening, delegates were invited to wear their most beautiful outfits adorned with the custom-made Carrossier ProColor aluminum bow ties and Swarovski earrings which they received as a gift for the occasion. During the evening, recipients of the Insurer’s Choice and Consumer’s Choice awards were unveiled at a trophy ceremony. The gala continued with the traditional fundraising activity for the various charities supported by the network – the Children’s Wish Foundation being one of the main causes – which raised a record $ 90,000: “Year after year, this fundraiser is an extraordinary success and again this year, a record sum was raised thanks to the generous contribution of the participants” highlights Michel Charbonneau, Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Uni-Select Canada.
To conclude the 2018 Annual Conference in style, participants had the opportunity to dance to the band Glam and satisfy their late-night munchies at the midnight buffet featuring poutine, popcorn, and cotton candy.
